Terms of Services

1. Confidentiality

Information shared between the client and the therapist is confidential unless express permission is provided and unless disclosure is covered by the law. Please note all client data is held in compliance with the GDPR.

2. Safeguarding

If your child discloses something I believe indicates a risk of serious harm to themselves or others, then I will raise this with you as the guardian. In some circumstances it may be appropriate to seek help from other agencies to keep them safe, if appropriate you will be informed of this.

3. Parental Attendance

During online sessions as a parent/guardian for a child under 16yrs, you can be in attendance for the duration of the session unless your child requests otherwise.

If you are in attendance during sessions, it is important that you do not respond on behalf of your teen unless I ask you directly. There can often be long pauses for responses, this is normal and part of the process.

4. Session environment

Online sessions take place via a private secure Zoom meeting. It is important during the session that I can see your cild/teen so that we can interact appropriately and so I can see how they are participating in the therapeutic exercises. A quiet environment where your teen will not be disturbed for the duration of the session is required.

5. Payment

Payment is required in advance for each session and is made online via a secure payment link that allows you to pay by either debit or credit card.

6. Cancelling or Rescheduling Sessions

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please provide 48 hrs notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hrs notice will provide a 50% refund only. There is no refund for appointments cancelled within 4 hours of the session or for missed appointments.

7. Disclaimer

There is no guarantee of the success of the sessions. Each person will respond differently to the techniques and approaches used and may have different outcomes. The sessions aim to assist your child/ teenager with the issue they are seeking help for. It is not a ‘magic pill’ and will take effort and participation from the client.

8. Contraindications

Most people are suitable and able to benefit from hypnotherapy. In some circumstances, however, hypnotherapy may not be an appropriate treatment. In certain instances, I may require you to obtain a referral from your child’s doctor before treatment.

Clients under psychiatric care. Some psychiatric conditions may make hypnotherapy unsuitable. Your psychiatrist will need to approve any treatment before it can begin.

Clients in an intoxicated state. If I suspect your teenager has been drinking alcohol or taking drugs prior to the session I will not be able to proceed with the session.
