It’s natural for children to have fears as they grow up — whether it’s being scared of the dark, animals, or trying new things. Most fears fade with time, but sometimes they can develop into phobias that persist, intensify, or interfere with everyday life.
Phobias are more than just a dislike; they can create overwhelming feelings of panic or dread, even when the situation is safe. For some young people, avoiding their phobia starts to limit their world.
